On February 2, 2020, Flipside celebrated with its 5th annual Opera Idol competition! Taking place at the Salle Antoine-Gaborieau at the Centre Culturel Franco-Manitobain in St. Boniface, this year's fundraiser was a gala evening in an intimate setting, with singing, voting, snacks, wine, and a silent auction.

This year's Opera Idol 2020 winner was soprano Ana Toumine.​
