Opera Idol 2026

Opera Idol is back and better than ever! This friendly competition for emerging Manitoban artists is the perfect opportunity for the community to come together and hear some of the operatic voices lighting up our province.

Each singer will perform an opera aria and (new in 2026!) a piece of their choice that is meaningful to them – this could be opera, art song, musical theatre, an original composition, a pop song…the sky is the limit!

Audience members vote for their favourite singers, with input from some experts in the field to help guide them along the way.
