The Women’s Musical Club and Flipside Opera & Art Song Collective are joining forces to present beloved Winnipeg musicians, soprano Christina Thanisch-Smith and pianist Lisa Rumpel, in an intimate house concert on Sunday, August 25th, 2024. Enjoy gorgeous music and warm hospitality in a beautiful riverside setting.

While she is currently based at Calgary Opera as a McPhee Artist, WMC & Flipside audiences will know Christina from her appearances as a multiple winner of the WMC Scholarship Competition, an Opera Idol contestant, and second place winner of the WMC McLellan Competition in 2024. Christina and Lisa have collaborated since 2015, appearing on WMC, Agassiz, and Virtuosi stages. Their strong rapport, warm presence, and evident love for the song repertory create an inviting and welcoming atmosphere.
